I have found this to be an excellent introduction to Minimalist Syntsx, and to syntactic theorising in general. The book emphasizes the importance of cross-linguistic evidence in the development of syntactic arguments. I wouldn’t be really fair if I tried to judge it as good or bad, as we were required to read it before we were fully introduced to the basic syntactic theories.
